The “Golden Rose” is one of the most prominent and significant film forums in our country’s cultural calendar, which the Ministry is honored to support, said Culture Minister Marian Bachev on Tuesday at the opening of the 43rd edition of the Bulgarian Feature Film Festival in Varna.
What is especially encouraging this year is that the festival not only showcases the latest achievements in our national cinema, but also emphasizes the importance of international dialogue and cooperation, noted Bachev. According to him, the presence of distinguished filmmakers from various countries alongside prominent Bulgarian names on the juries is a clear sign that Bulgarian cinema is an active participant on the global stage. “Moreover, it sets directions and outlines trends,” the Minister added.
He extended congratulations to the festival organizers from the National Film Center, as well as to everyone who, with dedication and love, make this celebration of cinema possible.
