An exhibition of archival documents and photographs related to the history of the Representative Brass Band of the National Guards Unit of Bulgaria will open Thursday in the garden in front of the Ivan Vazov National Theatre, according to the organizers.  

Vice President Iliana Iotova will be a guest at the opening.

The exhibition is organized by the Culture Directorate of the Sofia Municipality and the United in Diversity association under a project dedicated to the Guard Band and the formation of cultural and musical life in the capital and the country.

The organizers note that the exhibition is related to the first scientific study of its kind in Bulgaria on the activities of the Guard Orchestra by Dr. Galya Grozdanova-Radeva, as well as the publication of her two monographs on the creation of the first professional orchestras in Bulgaria and the Guard Orchestra.
