Artist Gergana Stoyanova will mark her career milestone with New Life, a show of paintings and mosaics at Vivacom Art Hall running 9–23 May, organizers said here Wednesday.

Dedicated to spring and renewal, the display gathers mainly works completed in the past three years, including series such as Awakening, Spring Dance and Bulgarian Woman.

“Inspiration comes from nature,” Stoyanova said. “I start from real details and reshape them to express emotions, thoughts and moods.” Thick oil textures and vibrant tesserae depict landscapes, flowers and portraits in dynamic, free strokes.

Born in 1985 in Sandanski, Stoyanova holds a BA in art pedagogy from South-West University Neofit Rilski and an MA in mural painting from the National Academy of Arts. A member of both the Bulgarian Mosaic Artists and Bulgarian Artists unions, she works in painting and monumental mosaics that blend smalti, ceramics, marble, terracotta and glass-ceramics. Her first solo show, Awakening, opened in Sofia in 2022.
