Instituto Cervantes in Sofia will celebrate International Book Day, April 23, with the traditional public reading of excerpts from works written in Spanish, the Institute said. The event will be opened by Spanish Ambassador Miguel Alonso Berrio.
Everyone interested is invited to share a few lines from a text of their choice. They can use the Institute's library if they have not brought their own book, said Instituto Cervantes.
Each participant will receive a red rose, as is the Catalan tradition of Sant Jordi where International Book Day is celebrated with the gift of a rose and a book.
