The Bulgarian naval research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (NAVAL RSV 421) refueled and reloaded on food and fresh water supplies during its stay at the Mar del Plata Naval Base. The Argentinian port city is a stopover for the Bulgarian ship on its journey back home to Varna (on the Black Sea) after it successfully completed its participation in the 31st Bulgarian Antarctic expedition to Livingston Island.

As part of the preparations to cross the Atlantic Ocean, RSV 421's crew loaded the ship with fuel, meat, fresh fruits and vegetables and water.

RSV 421 is scheduled to leave at 9:00 am local time on March 20 towards its next stop in the Spanish city of Cartagena. The ship is expected to arrive in Varna at the end of April.

BTA's Daily News editor Konstantin Karagyozov is the only member of the media who is travelling on board the ship to Livingston Island and back and covered the Bulgarian expedition throughout its stay in Antarctica.
