Scientists will disembarK on Monday, February 9, at Bulgaria’s St. Kliment Ohridski Antarctic Base from the research vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii, after spending two days working on marine projects in the Antarctic Strait and around the Antarctic Peninsula.

The vessel is expected to arrive in the morning in the bay of the Bulgarian base on Livingston Island, where the scientists will go ashore and cargo handling operations will be carried out.

Work on the furnishings for the meteorological laboratory at the base, built jointly with scientists from the United Arab Emirates, is expected to be completed on Monday. Research projects by scientists currently stationed at the base are also continuing, including microbiological and seismological studies.
