Varna Police officers busted two drug greenhouses in different locations in the seaside city, the press centre of the Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry said on Tuesday. During the police operations, searches were carried out at two sites, with forensic experts finding and seizing hemp plants in various stages of growth and a large amount of dry marijuana in both places.

It was established that the plants were grown in three rooms equipped with high-tech irrigation and air conditioning systems, as well as modern equipment for growing vegetation.

Separate rooms were also discovered, adapted for drying and cleaning the finished product. During the procedural actions carried out, three electronic scales and a number of ecstasy tablets were found and seized as well.

Pre-trial investigations have been initiated in the cases.
