The Council of Ministers has authorized the entry and stay of the TCSG-90 vessel of the Turkish Coast Guard Command, or its reserve ship TCSG-313, in Bulgaria’s internal waters and territorial sea from October 6 to 9, 2025. The stay is allowed in Burgas Port and the Border Police Ship Base in Sozopol under the Border Police Regional Directorate in Burgas, the Government Information Service said on Friday.

The activity is part of the Visit of a Turkish Coast Guard Border-Police Ship to Bulgarian Ports initiative under the Bilateral Cooperation Plan between the Border Police General Directorate at the Bulgarian Interior Ministry and the Turkish Coast Guard Command.

The purpose of the activity is to strengthen coast guard operations through maritime border surveillance, prevention and counteraction of cross-border crime, and coordinated actions between the Bulgarian Border Police and the Turkish Coast Guard.
