Traffic is heavy for inbound passenger cars at the Kapitan Andreevo checkpoint on the border with Turkiye and for inbound and outbound passenger cars at the Kalotina checkpoint on the border with Serbia, the Border Police Directorate said on its website on Saturday.

At the border with Romania, the ferry service on the Oryahovo–Bechet crossing is temporarily suspended since Friday, due to low Danube levels and strong winds. Drivers are advised to use alternative border crossings, the Border Police added.

As renovation of the Bulgarian section of the Danube Bridge at Ruse continues, traffic is limited to one lane and is regulated by the contractor’s staff. Traffic is normal at all crossing points.

Traffic has been restored in both directions at the Stanke Lisichkovo checkpoint on the border with the Republic of North Macedonia. Traffic is normal at the other border crossing points.

At the border with Greece, construction works are underway on the Rudozem–Xanthi route. The authorities have posted signs indicating the area is a construction site and bar unauthorized access.

Only passenger cars and minibuses up to 3.5 t are allowed to cross at Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad.
