Mountain hiking conditions are good, with sunshine and light wind, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) with the Bulgarian Red Cross told BTA on Saturday.

On Friday, rescuers assisted a Belgian tourist with a dislocated ankle near Mount Malyovitsa, MRS said.

In the mountains, conditions will be mostly sunny before noon. Cloud will increase over the Rhodopes and Strandzha, with brief afternoon showers and thunderstorms mainly in the Rhodopes. A strong west-northwesterly wind will persist, temporarily gale-force over the highest parts. Highs: 18C at 1,200 m, 13C at 2,000 m.
