Following Bulgaria's accession to the eurozone and the exhaustion of one of the main topics for those seeking to sabotage and divide, they have no choice but to cling to yet another narrative aimed at sowing discord in society, Kalin Stoyanov, MP from the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) – New Beginning party, wrote on his Facebook profile, commenting on President Rumen Radev's earlier statement in Varna that "the government of Peevski and Borisov is preparing to sell off state property."
"Early on Sunday morning, we once again witnessed the incorrect, populist, and misleading rhetoric of President Rumen Radev, who is dividing Bulgarian society. He was quick to jump on the latest fabricated issue launched by his political 'offspring', the CC-DB [Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria], whom he himself called 'charlatans' shortly after personally creating them. This time, Radev commented on the artificially created tension by CC-DB regarding the amendments to the State Property Act. The President and his supporters should be aware that these changes do not provide for the 'sale-off' of state property, but rather its transfer to municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria. This is a measure that will put an end to the destruction of numerous properties throughout the country," Stoyanov points out.
"A populist lie. Radev can rest assured that we, from MRF-New Beginning, as a responsible political force, will not allow state properties to be sold to anyone. We will insist that they be transferred to the municipalities, which have the means and capacity to take care of them," Stoyanov wrote.
"It is clear to everyone that the largest plundering of the state took place precisely during the caretaker governments appointed by Radev, as well as under the rule of his political derivatives from CC-DB. A clear example of this is the enslaving contract with ‘Botas,’ signed by Radev’s caretaker cabinet, under which our country loses BGN 1,050,000 every day," Stoyanov's post reads.
