Over the past 24 hours, the General Directorate Fire Safety and Civil Protection units responded to 225 accident reports and extinguished a total of 167 fires, the General Directorate announced on its website on Tuesday morning. One person was injured.
Direct material damage was caused by 26 fires, 14 of which were in residential buildings, two in industrial buildings, four in auxiliary, temporary, or makeshift structures, four in vehicles, and two in forest areas.
There were 141 fires that caused no material damage, 99 of which were in dry grass, forest litter, and bushes, two in stubble fields, 35 in waste, and five in other locations.
