An earthquake with a magnitude of 3.9 was registered near the border between Greece and Bulgaria, the National Seismological Centre of the National Institute of Geophysics, Geodesy and Geography of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences said here on Monday.
The earthquake was registered by the institute at 9:08 a.m., with the epicentre located in the area of the village of Zarnevo in Greece, about 28 km from Drama, 30 km from Gotse Delchev, 50 km from Petrich and approximately 160 km from Sofia.
The earthquake was felt in the area of Gotse Delchev and in the surrounding settlements. There is no information about material damage or injured people.
