site.btaGovernment Approves Hydraulic Engineering Works to Expand Odesos PBM – Varna Port Terminal

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the Council of Ministers approved the execution of hydraulic engineering works within Bulgaria’s internal maritime waters to expand the Odesos PBM – Varna port terminal. Specialized vessels will be used for these activities — the UMD Hercules, a hopper dredger sailing under the Liberian flag, and the MP26 dipper dredger, sailing under the Jamaican flag. The permit is valid for 100 days.

The purpose of the works is to improve the port infrastructure for public transport, increase capacity, and ensure better navigational safety, in line with the investment programme for the expansion of the Odesos PBM – Varna port terminal.
