site.btaState Fund Agriculture Pays over BGN 3.6 Bln to Farmers in 2024

At its regular meeting on Wednesday, the government approved the Annual Report of State Fund Agriculture (SFA) and SFA-Paying Agency for 2024. The total amount paid out by SFA to agricultural producers in 2024 was BGN 3.67 billion.

During the 2024 campaign, under schemes, measures, and interventions related to direct payments, a total of 63,431 applications were submitted. The subsidies paid under these schemes amounted to BGN 2.057 billion.

Under the 2014–2020 Rural Development Programme, 1,126 contracts were signed, and payments totalling BGN 651,615,889 were made.

Funds received by farmers through market measures and interventions under agricultural market mechanisms in 2024 amounted to BGN 78,611,615, of which BGN 28,467,121 came under the Strategic Plan, and BGN 50,144,494 were paid outside of it.

Under investment support schemes, as of 31 December 2024, payments amounted to BGN 1,177,192.

During the reporting period, 150 new loans totalling BGN 19,384,294 were granted.

In 2024, a total of BGN 845,701,692 was paid out under 28 short-term support schemes, benefiting 62,325 farmers.

A total of BGN 36,713,136 was disbursed under the 2014–2020 Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Programme and the 2021–2027 Maritime Affairs, Fisheries and Aquaculture Programme.
