site.btaMRF – New Beginning leader Peevski Backs Saedinenie and Rakitovo in Regional Development Drive

The mayors of Saedinenie and Rakitovo, two municipalities in southern Bulgaria, have made their plans to join the New Beginning for Regional Development strategy, Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) – New Beginning press service said here on Friday.

This was announced at a meeting between Saedinenie mayor Georgi Rumenov, Rakitovo mayor Georgi Holyanov, and MRF – New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski. Peevski and the mayors discussed municipal challenges and ways to improve living conditions, attract investors and support job-creating businesses.

Rumenov and Holyanov said they wanted the municipalities to take part in the strategy, which aims to deliver security, stability and a better future for local residents.

The initiative relies on the combined efforts of MPs, mayors and municipal councillors and envisages ambitious projects tailored to each municipality’s natural environment and cultural and historical heritage, the party press service said.
