Vazrazhdane held a meeting with representatives of the Velichie parliamentary group on Friday to discuss a new motion of no confidence in the Government of Rosen Zhelyazkov, Tsoncho Ganev MP of Vazrazhdane told journalists. Vazrazhdane had also invited the Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh) group, but its representatives did not come to the meeting. According to Ganev, the reason could be that MECh do not wish to join a no-confidence motion.

On Wednesday, Ganev said that Vazrazhdane would propose a no-confidence motion over the Government's financial policy, but that the opinion of other parliamentary groups would also be heard.

In no way do MECh signal that they want to participate in the vote of no confidence, he went on to say, calling on the group to explain why. He pointed out that the Democracy, Rights and Freedoms (DRF) group have said that they will not give their signatures, but they will support a vote of no confidence over everything happening in the financial sector.

In Ganev's words, Velichie heard Vazrazhdane's proposal for a no-confidence motion over the Government's financial policy and said they want a vote over waste management, which Velichie believe is a priority of the State and would have a huge effect if discussed in the plenary hall. According to Vazrazhdane, waste and illegal landfills are not a defining issue for every citizen of Bulgaria, so the far-right opposition group have asked Velichie to collect the signatures of Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria, DRF, and MECh. Vazrazhdane would join the no-confidence motion if the other opposition parties unite around the issue of waste.

Ganev noted that if Velichie fail to collect the signatures by next week, hopefully they would join his parliamentary group's motion over the Government's finance policy. If Velichie manage to collect the signatures, then the vote of no confidence will be over waste and Vazrazhdane will support it.
