An earthquake was felt in the southern Bulgarian town of Kardzhali on Wednesday. It was equally perceptible on the high floors of buildings and lower down.
About a minute before the quake started, some people received a warning message on their phones via the early warning system. The message said that it was epicentred 288.2 km from Kardzhali in Turkiye and had a magnitude of 5.8 on the Richter scale.
