Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel is participating in the meeting of NATO Ministers of Foreign Affairs at the NATO Headquarters in Brussels on November 28 and 29, Gabriel said on Facebook.

The event will discuss the main directions towards the NATO Summit in Washington in 2024, as well as the situation in the Western Balkans. The first session of the NATO-Ukraine Council at the level of foreign ministers will also be held during the meeting.

Gabriel said she will hold bilateral meetings with Canadian counterpart Melanie Joly, Greek counterpart Georgios Gerapetritis, Romanian counterpart Luminita Odobescu and Montenegrin counterpart Filip Ivanovic.

On Monday, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that the foreign ministers will discuss malign foreign influence in the Western Balkans, as well as Russian actions against allies related to cyberattacks, disinformation, energy blackmail and migration. In his words, they will also discuss the need for dialogue with China.
