Chief Commissioner Ivan Roussev has been temporarily appointed Director of the Regional Directorate of Interior in Yambol (Southeastern Bulgaria) by order of Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov. He was officially presented to the leadership of the local directorate by the Deputy Chief Secretary of the Interior Ministry, Chief Commissioner Zhivko Kotsev, the Yambol police said Tuesday.

Commissioner Roussev began his professional career in the Interior Ministry's system in 1998 as intelligence officer at Economic Police. He has also worked as head of the sector for countering economic crime, deputy director, head of the Criminal Police department with the Sliven Regional Directorate of Interior, the Yambol police also said.

A check by BTA shows that in 2019, Roussev was reappointed Deputy Director of the Yambol Regional Directorate of Interior. In 2020, he became its director. He has been awarded several times by the Interior Minister and the National Police head for good results and professionalism in the implementation of specific tasks.
