According to caretaker Justice Minister Zarkov, the functioning of this Council as a monitoring mechanism plays a big role in removing the monitoring of Bulgaria by the EC. "The [Council's] operational activity should continue, as it is in the interest of the Bulgarian citizens," the Minister said.
