Cooperation in the area of dual education, scientific research and the work of the Sofia-based Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) was high on the agenda of a meeting between caretaker Education and Science Minister Sasho Panov and Swiss Ambassador to Sofia Raymund Furrer, Panov's Ministry said in a press release on Tuesday.

Ambassador Furrer recalled that INSAIT was established in partnership with the Swiss ETH Zurich and EPFL, two of the best technological universities in the world, and the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia, stressing that six months after the inauguration of the institute, its work has already produced results. INSAIT has gained a foothold on the European R&D map and has a big potential for development, Furrer said.

Penov expressed certainty that INSAIT has the support of all Bulgarian institutions.

The two officials also discussed the organization of a conference dedicated to dual education and the Swiss experience which Bulgaria can benefit from. The event is expected to be held at the end of the year.
