site.btaUPDATED Prof Vladia Borisova Reinstated as Patent Office President
By order of caretaker Prime Minister Galab Donev, Patent Office President Tanya Mitova has been removed from office and replaced by Prof Vladia Borisova, the Government Information Service said.
Prof Borisova headed the Patent Office in the 2021-2022 period. She was appointed to the post by the previous caretaker government and was removed in June this year by economy and industry minister Korneliya Ninova.
Before she headed the Patent Office, Prof Borisova was director of the Institute of Intellectual Property and Technology Transfer with the University of National and World Economy (UNWE) in Sofia. She has many years of experience in the field of intellectual property. She has been a member of the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria since 2018. She holds a higher education degree in law and economics from the UNWE.
