Former minister of education and science Krasimir Valchev thanked the experts at the Ministry for their intensive work and dedication over the past year during a handover ceremony at the Ministry of Education and Science in Sofia on Thursday, the Ministry’s press service reported.

Valchev said the team had sought to cope with all day-to-day tasks while at the same time working on strategic priorities essential for the development of the education system.

At the end of the ceremony, Valchev and his successor Sergei Ignatov symbolically rang a school bell, a long-standing tradition marking the handover of office at the Ministry of Education and Science.
