A Turkish national driving a truck was killed in a road accident on the Maritsa motorway near the Kapitan Andreevo border control checkpoint, the Interior Ministry's Regional Directorate in Haskovo said on Tuesday.
The accident was reported earlier Tuesday via the emergency number 112. The crash occurred at the 104th kilometre of the motorway, in the emergency lane in the direction of Turkiye after a collision with a lorry with Moldovan registration plates.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
