Parliament failed to hold a sitting on Friday, as a quorum was not reached during any of the three registration attempts.

In the final attempt, 119 MPs were present in the debating chamber, below the 121 needed for a quorum. The parliamentary groups of Continue the Change – Democratic Bulgaria, Vazrazhdane, the Alliance for Rights and Freedoms, Morality, Unity, Honour (MECh), and Velichie did not register.

"There is no quorum. The next parliamentary sitting will take place on Wednesday, January 28, at 9 a.m.," the chair of the sitting, Kostadin Angelov, said.
