The Council of Ministers Wednesday adopted a decree amending and supplementing the Ordinance on the Conditions and Procedure for Organizing, Conducting, and Providing Training for Bulgarian citizens for the Defence of the Fatherland, adopted in 2023. The amendments create a mechanism for the annual updating of the topics taught to secondary school students, the Government Information Service reported.
This will allow the content to keep pace with contemporary challenges and requirements, including the use of modern electronic platforms, presentations, and methodological guidelines.
A new, more flexible form of methodological training for military personnel and civilian employees involved in teaching the subjects is also being introduced. Training will be able to take place not only in person, but also in a mixed (in-person and online) format when employees are located outside the venue of the seminars. This will facilitate the inclusion of a wider range of trained specialists and reduce the administrative and logistical burden.
The implementation of the amendments is expected to increase the effectiveness of training and ensure better interaction between educational institutions and military formations within the Bulgarian Armed Forces.
