George Simion, leader of the far-right opposition Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR), is in first place with 33.1% of votes, according to the first exit poll results of the sociological agencies, Digi24 reported.
The candidate of the ruling coalition, Crin Antonescu, is in second place with 22.% of the vote, followed by the independent candidate and current mayor of Bucharest, Nicusor Dan, with 20.9%, and Victor Ponta, with 14.7 percent.
Avangard gives an equal result of 23% for Crin Antonescu and Nicusor Dan.
Exit poll surveys do not include the votes of Romanians abroad, Digi24 recalled.
