The Children's Choirs of the national radios of Bulgaria and Romania will give a joint concert in Bucharest on February 29. The event, which is part of the international cooperation programme between the two radios, is dedicated to the big achievements of the two choirs. This will be their first time performing together.

The Bulgarian National Radio Children's Choir will present works by Bulgarian composers, Franz Schubert,  and Astor Piazzolla, Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody, and a traditional Japanese song by composer Hideo Kobayashi.

The Romanian Radio Children's Choir will perform works by Pablo Casals, Frode Fjellheim, Sir Karl Jenkins, Serge Folie, and John Rutter, among others. Children's Choir Conductor Răzvan Rădos commented that the concert's programme is spectacular, because both choirs can easily interpret difficult works adding scenographic elements that increase the emotion transmitted to the audience.

An hour before the concert, the Bulgarian National Radio Children's Choir will open the reception organized by the Bulgarian Embassy in Romania for the National Day of Bulgaria, March 3, the Embassy told BTA. The children will perform the anthems of Bulgaria, Romania, and the EU.
