No Bulgarian citizens have been reported among the casualties in the Bondi Beach shooting in Sydney, Australia, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said on Facebook on Sunday.

The Bulgarian Embassy in Canberra is monitoring the situation and remains in constant contact with local authorities, the Ministry said. Bulgarian citizens in the region can contact the Embassy if assistance is needed.

At least 12 people were killed and almost 30 wounded when gunmen fired on a Jewish holiday event at Sydney's Bondi Beach on Sunday in what Australian police and officials described as a terrorist attack, Reuters reported.
