Representatives of three Turkish opposition parties have tabled at the Supreme Election Council a request for the annulment of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's nomination for the upcoming presidential elections, Haberturk TV said Tuesday.  The elections will be held on May 14.

The Good Party, the Democracy and Progress Party (DEVA), and the Homeland Party (Memleket Partisi) claim that Erdogan running for a third term in office is unconstitutional.

According to the Turkish authorities, Erdogan's current term in office is his first because of the constitutional referendum of 2017.
