The Svishtov Academy of Economics launched a new international project on cross-border safety and youth inclusion on Tuesday, the academy said. The project is being implemented jointly with the Dolj County School Inspectorate and the Dolj County Police Inspectorate in Romania.

The project is aimed at addressing the need to improve the capacity for safety, inclusion and employment of young people, especially vulnerable groups. Its main goal is to overcome existing difficulties by modernizing the educational infrastructure, providing a modern material and technical base for training and promoting cross-border cooperation to develop joint programmes aimed at increasing youth employment and safety.

The project is co-financed by the European Union under the Interreg VI-A Romania-Bulgaria Programme and will last 18 months, with a total budget of over EUR 600,000.

On October 17, the Svishtov Academy of Economics started another international project together with the University of Craiova and the Engage in Education Association.
