The producer price index on the domestic market for forestry products in Bulgaria decreased by 7.5% in the second quarter (Q2) of 2025 compared with the same period of 2024, the National Statistical Institute (NSI) reported on Tuesday.

The change in Q2 of 2025 was driven by a 9.2% drop in the price of wood in the rough from coniferous trees, while the price of wood in the rough from non-coniferous trees also went down by 8.3%.

In the first quarter (Q1) of 2025, producer prices in forestry declined by 0.4%.

That decrease in Q1 2025 resulted from a 3.8% drop in the price of wood in the rough from coniferous trees, while the price of wood in the rough from non-coniferous trees increased by 2.3%.
