Outgoing PM to Participate Informal Leaders' Meeting in Vilnius on New EU Strategic Agenda

Outgoing Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov will take part in an informal leaders' meeting in Vilnius on the new Strategic Agenda of the European Union. The talks are at the initiative of European Council President Charles Michel, the government press service said. 

The meeting in the Lithuanian capital will also be attended by President Gitanas Nauseda, European Council President Charles Michel, Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson, Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala.

At the end of 2023, the President of the European Council held informal consultations with leaders on priorities for the next institutional cycle. Charles Michel outlined in broad terms the elements that are planned to underpin the new EU Strategic Agenda, in particular foreign policy, security and defence, competitiveness, including green and digital transition, migration, enlargement.
