site.btaAt 90, Artist Yordan Petrov Prepares Exhibition with Energy and Creativity

Artist Yordan Petrov is preparing an exhibition of paintings to be displayed in the gallery of the Union of Bulgarian Artists (UBA) at 6 Shipka Street in Sofia between February 28 and March 16, the organizers say.

At 90, Petrov embarked on this new project with energy and creativity. Born in the Danubian town of Vidin in 1933, he studied poster design at the National Academy of Art in Sofia under the renowned professor Alexander Poplilov. With his posters Petrov has shared in international graphic design shows in Warsaw, Brno, Lahti, Toyama, Mexico City, Mons, Ljubljana and Sofia. He has contributed to the design of business exhibition booths and national exhibition spaces of commercial and cultural nature in New Delhi, Paris, Singapore, London, Kuala Lumpur, Copenhagen and Piraeus.

Since 1999 Petrov has staged a series of painting exhibitions, UBA says.
