Bulgarian President Rumen Radev is participating in the 5th Demographic Summit which opens in Budapest on Thursday. He is attending at the invitation of Hungarian President Katalin Novak.
The forum themed "Family: The Key to Security" is taking place until September 16. This is one of the major international conferences in Hungary, Novak said on social media in late August.
The Budapest Demographic Summit is a forum for statesmen and leading experts in various fields to discuss demographic trends and approaches to developing family-supportive policies. President Radev will deliver a speech during the opening session of the summit. During his visit to Budapest, Radev will hold bilateral meetings, his press secretariat said.
Since 2015, the forum has been organized by the Hungarian government every two years to discuss demographic problems facing Europe. According to the organizers, the future depends on what people will populate Europe and whether Europe will remain Christian.
