Minister of Agriculture and Food Kiril Vatev participated in the official opening of the 61st AGRA International Fair of Agriculture and Food in Gornja Radgona, Slovenia on Saturday, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food said. He is attending the event at the invitation of Slovenia's Agriculture, Forestry and Food Minister Irena Sinko.

Earlier on Saturday, Vatev held an informal meeting Sinko, during which the challenges in the agricultural sector, opportunities for exchange of experience and good practices in the field of beekeeping were discussed. Other topic of discussion was Bulgaria's upcoming participation as a partner country at the AGRA exhibition in 2024.

At the Bulgarian stand Minister Vatev welcomed the President of Slovenia Natasa Pirc Musar, who officially opened the exhibition.

The Bulgarian national stand is spread over an area of 69 square metres, and this year five companies are presenting honey, bee products, dairy products and essential oils.

The prestigious exhibition is being held for the 61st time in Gornja Radgona. It presents the latest technologies in the production, cultivation and processing of agricultural products, in the presence of the world's leading brands in agricultural, forestry machinery, as well as in equipment for the food industry. High quality agricultural crops, food products, dishes and wines are also presented.

Bulgarian produce can be viewed until August 31 at stand No 504 in Hall C3 of the fairground - next to that of India as a partner country.
