The sculpture exhibition titled "Inner Radiance" by Alexandra Bogojeska will open in the gallery of the Culture and Information Centre (CIC) of the Republic of North Macedonia on July 18, 2023 at 18:30.

The works in the exhibition are made of stone, specifically marble and travertine. The artist, through the content of her works, wants to represent individuality, existence, possibilities. By presenting her sculptures, she seeks through symbols to prompt the mind to guess the hidden essential messages.Travertine as a material with irregular texture represents natural beauty, vulnerability, the fragile emotional interior, while the white color of marble symbolically represents purity, the gentle vertical lines emphasize the female silhouette.

By presenting her sculptures, she seeks through symbols to prompt the mind to guess the hidden essential messages. Travertine as a material with irregular texture represents natural beauty, vulnerability, the fragile emotional interior, while the white color of marble symbolically represents purity, the gentle vertical lines emphasize the female silhouette.

Alexandra's work strongly emphasizes an inner connection to nature as well as a sense of strong emotion. Although her art is mostly about small-scale sculptures, Alexandra is quite skilled at using them to present her idea of sculpture. Each of her works contains in its concept a clear connection and inseparability between male and female life energy. She uses sculpture as an unlimited space to express her uniqueness and individuality. I can freely say that she is an artist who wants to experiment through her works and quite skillfully perceives what is described above, namely by showing personal feelings in different thematic contents.

Bogojeska's research in the field of sculpture focuses on the abstract-human sculptural form through the combination of both forms and materials. She expresses herself through free plastic form, creating pure plastic structures with some associative features. The vertical positioning of the sculptures, together with the prominent natural rustic expression by emphasizing the natural structural form of the stone on the one hand, and the perfection achieved with the smoothing of the surface on the other, are an important element in the overall visual effect.

Hailing from Prilep, a city that is a nursery for culture and art, Bogojeska ranks in the list of successful young Prilep artists who selflessly, with their desire, perseverance, dedication, creativity and most importantly through nurtured and built upon talent, create and maintain the iconic that is left behind, said Jana Janeska Risteski, art historian. "Women and art, both extremely complex and separate subjects, are forever an inspiration to great minds. When you dare to combine these two themes into one, the final product has great power and captivates with its uniqueness", Risteski concluded.
