site.btaPleven Hosts Sixth Gaudy Cockerel International Puppet Art Fest Edition
Pleven is hosting the sixth edition of the Gaudy Cockerel International Puppet Art Fest for all ages. Starting from June 26 until July 2, the fest will feature 22 shows and five art workshops for children, Pleven Municipality said Monday.
The programme includes participation of the state puppet theatres in Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Veliko Tarnovo, Sliven, Varna, Burgas, Pleven and Sofia's Youth Theatre with their latest shows, as well as the "Oh, dear!", Skrin, Art Land and Arte Viva Foundation companies. Foreign companies from Greece, Serbia and Norway will also perform on three consecutive nights.
The shows will be offered traditionally on the stages in the park of the Regional History Museum and the Ivan Radoev Theatre in the city.
Gaudy Cockerel will open with a Live Statues street performance of the Skrin Travelling Theatre and an interactive "Puppets, theatre, kids" exhibition by Art Land - Sofia.
Gaudy Cockerel is organized and funded by Pleven Municipality, in partnership with the Ivan Radoev Theatre and with the support of Art Office Foundation.
