Acting on a motion by the Vazrazhdane group, Parliament will give a hearing to the heads of the State Agency for National Security (SANS), the Defence Intelligence Service and the State Intelligence Agency at an extraordinary sitting on Tuesday. The hearing was prompted by a recording made at a May 21 online meeting of Continue the Change (CC) and released by MP Radostin Vasilev, which implies that the heads of the special services would be replaced and the nominees would be "cleared with the embassy".

The MPs of Vazrazhdane also alerted the Prosecutor General about the recording, asking that the authenticity of the recording be verified and the persons involved be investigated and charged. According to the party's leader Kostadin Kostadinov, the recording points to a crime against the Republic under the Penal Code.

In the aftermath of the scandal, GERB-UDF froze the talks on cabinet formation with CC - Democratic Bulgaria and Radostin Vasilev applied to quit its parliamentary group.
