site.bta80 Events on Bill of Sofia Spring Book Fair, International Literary Festival

Eighty literary events are scheduled in the programme of the Spring Book Fair and the Sofia International Literary Festival for Children and Youth from May 29 to June 4, the organizers from the Bulgarian Book Association said on Tuesday.

A record number of publishing houses, 144, will participate in the 16th edition of the Spring Book Fair. Their stands will be arranged in the space in front of the National Palace of Culture.

The official opening of the Spring Book Fair and the Sofia International Literary Festival for Children and Youth will be at 11 am on May 29, and in the following days there will be premieres and meetings with authors, translators and illustrators of over 40 new works.

As many new books will be presented at the publishers' stands located in more than 60 tents. There will be a parallel programme in bookstores, literary clubs and other locations in the capital.

The forums are part of the Cultural Calendar of  Sofia Municipality for 2023 and are implemented with the support of the National Culture Fund.
