Prosecutors from Plovdiv, Stara Zagora and Vidin spoke out against the attempts to involve the prosecution service in political scandals. Their positions are posted on the website of the Prosecutor's Office.

The Prosecutor's Office in Plovdiv also opposes attempts to interfere in the work of the prosecuting magistracy.

"We perform our duties impartially and objectively, according to our conscience and internal conviction, and in our work we are guided only by the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria and the rule of law," the magistrates say.

With their position, they declare that they will not allow any influence and pressure to be exerted in their work and will continue to work in the interest of the Bulgarian citizens, without taking into account political influences and any other attempts to interfere.

Their colleagues from Stara Zagora say they will uphold and respect the rule of law and the principle of separation of powers. They call for the democratic principles established in the Constitution to be upheld.

The prosecutors from Vidin state that they are united in their desire to uphold the rule of law only through the means exhaustively mentioned in the Constitution. The actions of the magistrates, as before, will rest solely on the law, following the principle of the rule of law, they say.

The Vidin prosecutors oppose the attempts in the country in recent days to destabilise the prosecution service.
