The need for better communication between institutions and citizens was among the topics discussed during a meeting between representatives of There Is Such a People (TISP) and residents of Simitli, the party reported Saturday. The meeting was attended by TISP top-of-the-list candidate for Blagoevgrad Region Dragomir Petrov, regional coordinator Alexander Filipov, and municipal coordinator Mario Gerinski.

During the conversation, issues related to the region’s development, local infrastructure, and economic opportunities were discussed. Residents raised questions related to the challenges facing young people, as well as living conditions in the municipality.

According to the participants, specific steps must be taken to increase transparency in the work of institutions and to improve dialogue with citizens. Proposals aimed at stimulating local business and creating better conditions for the municipality’s development were also discussed.

The party notes that face-to-face meetings remain the most valuable way to hear the people’s voice.
