In a declaration read from Parliament's rostrum on behalf of Vazrazhdane on Wednesday, party leader Kostadin Kostadinov said that they would alert the prosecution service over a government decision to allocate BGN 34 million to Ukraine, as well as a ten-year cooperation agreement signed with Ukraine by caretaker Prime Minister Andrey Gurov.

Kostadinov referred to a Council of Ministers decision of March 27, 2026, approving EUR 17,284,000 in funding for the Foreign Ministry for 2026, intended as Bulgaria’s financial contribution to the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List mechanism.

The Vazrazhdane leader noted that responsibility does not rest solely with caretaker Prime Minister Gurov, adding that the Cabinet includes many Continue the Change–Democratic Bulgaria loyalists and representatives of former President Rumen Radev's political entity, Ahmed Dogan's MRF, and GERB.

“We believe that every political force in this Cabinet must take political responsibility for this criminal decision,” Kostadinov said. ”If you believe this Cabinet is acting in the interests of Bulgarian citizens, then great. But if you think otherwise, withdraw your representatives and trigger a government crisis,” he said.

Kostadinov also noted that on Tuesday, the former president had expressed strong opposition to the ten-year agreement with Ukraine. The Vazrazhdane leader pointed out that Radev has four key ministers in the caretaker Cabinet and called on him to withdraw them. According to Kostadinov, if Radev fails to act, ”his secretary [President Iliana] Iotova could dismiss Gurov or demand that he revoke the international agreement.”
