State-owned natural gas supplier Bulgargaz has proposed a gas price of EUR 34.27 per megawatt-hour for April 2026 (excluding access, transmission, excise duties and VAT). The proposal was submitted to the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC), which must approve the price. The information is available on the regulator’s website.

In March 2026, the price of natural gas approved by the EWRC is EUR 32.60/MWh. This means that the price proposed by Bulgargaz for April is 5.12% higher than the March level.

Oil and natural gas supplies have been disrupted due to the war in the Middle East. This has led to a rise in the price of April gas futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands and on the Balkan Gas Hub in Bulgaria.
