Nayden Todorov, who took on the post of caretaker Minister of Culture from Marian Bachev in a ceremony on Thursday, said that every new handover of the position of culture minister is more difficult than the last. Todorov was caretaker culture minister in the governments of Galab Donev (2023) and Dimitar Glavchev (2024-2025). 

 "We live in a very divided society and as the Ministry of Culture we should work not only for those who are in the field, but the entire society, since the way people react to disagreements is part of our culture," stated Todorov.

He further explained that in the following months they will be striving for transparency and regaining people's trust. "Since there is a collective distrust in governmental institutions, nothing is really working. I hope that when I hand over the [Manasses] Chronicle once again in about three months, we will be meeting the start of something different. That is why our task is so difficult, since the time is so little," concluded Todorov.
