The draft cabinet proposed by caretaker prime minister-designate Andrey Gurov on Wednesday includes individuals with pronounced party and political affiliations, former president Rumen Radev said in a Facebook post. ”The assemblage excluded the presidential institution from shaping the caretaker government, and today, we see the result - a cabinet made up of individuals with pronounced party and political affiliations,” he added.
Radev said that the responsibility for this Cabinet rests solely with the prime minister and the parties participating in his government. “In essence, this is a partisan cabinet. I call on our entire society to closely monitor the actions of the caretaker Cabinet and the preparation and conduct of the elections. Let us use our vote in April to hold accountable the parties that violated the Constitution in the name of power,” he wrote.
Earlier in the day, caretaker prime minister–designate Andrey Gurov presented the composition of his government to President Iliana Iotova, who said she would issue decrees appointing the caretaker cabinet and scheduling elections for April 19.
