Bulgarian biathlete Lora Hristova secured seventh place in the 10 km pursuit at the Milan Cortina Winter Olympic Games.
Hristova, who started the race in 11th position following the sprint, delivered clean shooting and finished in 31:24.0 minutes, moving up four places.
Milena Todorova, who began the pursuit in fourth, missed three targets across her two standing shooting sessions and ultimately finished 14th with a time of 31:57.0 minutes.
The gold medal was claimed by host nation athlete Lisa Vittozzi. The 31-year-old hit all 20 targets and crossed the finish line in 30:11.8 minutes, earning her first Olympic title.
Norway’s Maren Kirkeide, who started first on the course after winning the sprint yesterday, led convincingly before the final shooting stage but missed twice there, settling for silver 28.8 seconds behind.
Finland’s Suvi Minkkinen, sixth after the sprint, completed the podium in third place, 34.3 seconds behind, thanks to flawless shooting.
