Bulgaria’s snowboarders trained on the Livigno course on Thursday ahead of the Winter Olympic Games. The venue picked up 21 centimetres of fresh snow, with official parallel giant slalom training set for Friday and Bulgaria due to field four riders on February 8: Malena Zamfirova, Radoslav Yankov, Tervel Zamfirov and Alexander Krashniak.
Spring-like temperatures were recorded in Milan, where the main opening ceremony will be held. Similar conditions are forecast for Friday evening, when attention will turn to San Siro Stadium.
Bulgarian Olympic Committee (BOC) President-elect Vesela Lecheva arrived in Milan on Thursday and will attend the opening ceremony on Friday. President Iliana Iotova is also in Italy and will take her seat at the stadium on Thursday alongside other heads of State.
