The Council of Ministers Wednesday adopted a decision proposing that the President dismiss Sofia-based Bulgarian Ambassador to Estonia Selver Halil and appoint Ambassador to Finland Zornitsa Apostolova also as head of the diplomatic mission in Estonia, based in Helsinki.

Ensuring active diplomatic representation of Bulgaria in Estonia is essential in the pursuit of further deepening the diplomatic relations, the Government Information Service reported. The decision to restore the practice of Bulgaria being represented in its diplomatic relations with Estonia by its Ambassador to Finland in Helsinki, will contribute to more active and operational interaction at the political level with the country of secondary accreditation, given the geographical proximity of Bulgaria's foreign representation in Helsinki to the Republic of Estonia.
